Bilston Church of England Primary pupil Gurwinder Singh proved that he was quick on the draw when it came to designing a poster highlighting environmental best practice in the logistics sector.

Gurwinder was invited to Pallet-Track in Millfields Road on Friday June 9, after he designed a ‘green’ environmentally-friendly lorry as part of the Express & Star’s poster competition, which was open to all of the city’s schools.

Gurwinder’s design captured the imagination of Pallet-Track managing director Nigel Parkes who invited the 11-year-old for a tour of the 267,000 sq ft hub along with his teacher Mrs Lynne Boden and teaching assistant Mrs Ruth Bateman.

The visit concluded with a gift from Pallet-Track, which the evening before had secured the coveted ‘Business of the Year’ award from the Express & Star at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
